This curated portfolio demonstrates the work undertaken through the Exploration and Enquiry: Principles, Strategies and Tactics module. Throughout this design project, the sustainable development goal number 4, was considered the primary principle. The purpose of this goal is to promote quality education for all by ensuring inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities for all people around the world (United Nations, 2022).

With a focus on achieving inclusive and quality education for everyone, and with the aid of group discussions and peer idea sharing, we decided to focus on older people and considered 'Digital Literacy for Elderly People' as the main objective. For the purpose of this design project and as a framework for innovation, we considered the Double Diamond design model, the universally acknowledged representation of the design process, as the main framework with the four phases of Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver (Design Council, 2023). Using these stages, we developed our concept of digital literacy for older people into the “EasyNav” application, an AI-based navigation assistant for older people while using smartphones.
